According to The Independent, Tottenham have been looking at Jarrod Bowen, expressing interest in signing the West Ham winger.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Spurs have looked at Bowen, they were reportedly keen on him when he was playing for Hull City.
Bowen himself even went on the record to speak about Spurs’ interest during his time at Hull, and it’s fair to say he was blown away by the fact a club like Tottenham wanted him.
What’s been said?
Bowen described Spurs’ interest in him as ‘surreal’.
“It’s surreal when you see your name linked with clubs like Tottenham in the transfer window. I saw that first on TV,” said Bowen.
“I’d like to look back at my career and want to have been playing at the highest level week in, week out. Everybody’s dream is to play in the Premier League — and if I do that for a good ten years, I’ll look back and say, ‘I did all I could’.”

Things have changed
Bowen may have been blown away by the fact Spurs wanted him a few years ago, but things have certainly changed since then.
The 24-year-old is now one of West Ham’s most important players, and with all due respect to Tottenham, West Ham are in a better position than Spurs right now.
Indeed, at the London Stadium, Bowen is playing Europa League football and after a fantastic start to this season, it again looks as though David Moyes’ side will be knocking on the door of the Champions League.
Spurs may have missed their chance to land Bowen a few years ago when he was seemingly awestruck by the size of the club.
