Jamie O’Hara has strongly criticised reported Tottenham Hotspur target Sergio Aguero on Twitter and talkSPORT for his failed Panenka penalty against Chelsea.
Aguero attempted a Panenka penalty during Manchester City’s Premier League game against Chelsea on Saturday.
The Argentina international striker failed to take it properly, and Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy caught the ball with ease.
Former Tottenham midfielder O’Hara, who now works as a pundit for talkSPORT, has slammed Aguero, who is wanted by Spurs in the summer transfer window, according to a report in The Daily Star earlier this month.
Aguero’s attempt was audacious, but his failure to take it means that it turned out to be an embarrassment.
You can see both sides of the argument about whether or not the striker should have attempted the Panenka penalty.

It would have easier to take the spot kick in a ‘normal’ way, and Aguero would have probably scored.
However, you want to see players take risks and try different things in football, and Aguero should be praised for his effort.
Aguero is one of the best strikers the Premier League has ever seen, and one suspects that Spurs fans would love it if the 32-year-old joins the North London club this season.
The 32-year-old may have failed to score at the weekend, but he is a proven goalscorer in the Premier League and would be a brilliant signing for Spurs.
