Antonio Conte has stated ‘it’s right to bring the right example’ after he was recently pictured getting involved in Tottenham training.

During a Rondo session at Hotspur way, the 52-year-old was seen going in two-footed whilst trying to win back the ball.

Out on the touchline, Conte is known for his all-action style and how he works as hard as his players out on the pitch.

It’s an infectious nature that has rubbed off on his players throughout his managerial career, hence why he has so many trophies in his cabinet.

But when he was asked about getting involved in training at Tottenham, he explained why he does it to Soccer AM Sky Sports.

“Sometimes I want to bring the example and to be strong,” laughed Conte. “I had a tackle (two-footed in training). I think it’s right to bring the right example

“Also, to remember yourself that you were a player.”

Well, there is no better way for a manager to describe what he wants from his players than to showcase it out on the training pitch himself.

Conte is certainly doing that and the improvements in this Tottenham side are there for all to see since he replaced Nuno Espirito Santo in the dugout.

It may not result in a top-four finish because it’s their neighbours that are leading that charge, but that’s not his fault because he arrived just before Christmas.

But, it’s pretty obvious that Daniel Levy needs to back Conte in the summer transfer market because if he does, then the club may well just motor forward.
