Arsenal have a number of top-quality young players, and one of them is William Saliba.
William Saliba has been superb for Arsenal since the start of last season.
William Saliba an important player for Arsenal
The France international has established himself as a regular in the Arsenal first team.
When fit and available, the £190,000-a-week (Spotrac) 22-year-old always plays.
Saliba has given one assist in seven Premier League matches and has played once in the UEFA Champions League this season.
The Frenchman scored two goals and provided one assist in 27 Premier League matches and scored one goal in four UEFA Europa League games for the Gunners last season.
Mikel Arteta praises Arsenal defender William Saliba
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been hugely impressed by Saliba and has raved about him, outlining what makes the defender so rare.
Football.London quotes Arteta as saying about Saliba: “When you look at how he’s developing, the role that he’s got in the team, the level and the consistency especially that he’s shown in the last year or so, I think it’s remarkable. I think you won’t find many centre backs his age doing what he’s doing.
“Credit to the players around him as well, the way they are guiding him, protecting him and inspiring him.
“And then obviously the qualities that he has, he has that presence, physicality and that composure to be a leader in the back line for a big club like us, so huge compliment to him.”

Saliba is only 22, and clearly, the Arsenal and France international defender can still improve and get better.
What is remarkable about the defender is that he plays with a maturity beyond his years.
The youngster does not get fazed by the occasion.
Even when he makes a mistake, Saliba just bounces back and does not seem to worry too much.
