Jürgen Klopp has been speaking to the media ahead of the Premier League clash between Liverpool and Tottenham on Saturday evening.

When asked about the form of Luis Diaz, the 54-year-old opened up on something he finds “really strange” about the Colombian.

What’s the story?

Well, Klopp revealed that Diaz is getting along very well with Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones, although he has no idea how they communicate!

As quoted by the Daily Mail, the German said: ‘He’s really close with Curtis, he’s really close with Harvey, I have no idea how they talk to be honest but it’s on an emotional basis. They are close and they were after a week, it’s really strange, but it’s up to him.’

One journalist can clearly be heard laughing hysterically after Klopp made the revelation, and we must admit, it is pretty funny.

All humour aside, it is pleasing to hear that Diaz is mingling with a range of people at Anfield, and isn’t just sticking close to the Spanish speakers.

In truth, it would be very easy for the £37m man to do that, but it speaks volumes about his character that he has chosen to take himself out of a comfort zone and socialise with others.

Liverpool have a scary prospect in Luis Diaz

In our view, Diaz has the potential to become the best player in the Premier League – he is that good.

It’s no wonder Tottenham were furious after missing out on him.

The 25-year-old has taken to life in England like a duck to water, and plays with extreme levels of confidence which few wingers adopt nowadays.

Diaz has only made ten appearances in the Premier League, but despite that, he looks as if he’s been playing here for a decade.

In those outings, he has scored three goals while also providing two assists, but even when he doesn’t record a goal involvement, his presence visibly unsettles defenders.

Even Virgil van Dijk thinks Diaz is an “incredible” forward.

With a full pre-season under his belt – as well as some more English lessons – we could see an even better version of the South American next term.

Now, that is a quite frightening prospect, as he’s already playing at an astonishing level.
