
Liverpool might finally have a return for Thiago Alcantara in the pipeline.
It isn’t official, but it’ll do, given the lack of concrete updates on the 29-year-old’s injury.
According to The Sunday World, Liverpool expect to have the former Bayern Munich midfielder back in full training by the end of December.
That rules him out of the Reds’ next four Premier League games, but three of those are against West Brom, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace and Jurgen Klopp’s side should be okay without him.
Klopp has been without his £20 million summer signing for most of the season, through a combination of positive COVID tests and injury.
Thiago has been absent since the nasty challenge by Richarlison in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Everton in October – almost two months ago.
Overall, he has played only 134 minutes of Premier League football since arriving at Anfield.
But suffice to say some Liverpool fans are over the moon with this update:
