
Former West Ham striker Carlton Cole has urged Conor Gallagher to remain at Crystal Palace amid Premier League interest from Newcastle United and Everton.
Speaking to TalkSport, the pundit suggested that the south London club is perfect for the England international’s development, with Gallagher thriving with Palace after leaving Chelsea for what is his fourth loan spell away from the Blues.
The 22-year-old midfielder has been one of the breakout stars of the season, with Gallagher bagging eight goals and three assists for the Eagles as Patrick Vieira’s side this week demolished Arsenal 3-0 and prepare for a FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.
And as you can expect, the youngster’s form has caught the eye of interested clubs in England. According to TEAMtalk, the Toffees are keen to sign Gallagher, whilst the Daily Mail report that also chasing the on-loan Chelsea star, who could cost as much as £50m this summer.
Indeed, interest is high in Gallagher, yet according to Cole, the perfect club for the youngster to join this summer is the one the midfielder is currently at, Palace. The former Premier League striker said: “For him personally, I’d just want to carry on playing, just carry on playing.
“I would stay at Palace. Whether it’s on loan for another year or you get bought. It depends on what the scenario is. I just feel he needs to keep momentum and keep on playing. Now he’s got into the England setup by going away from Chelsea so it’s perfect for him, it’s all set up for him.”

Gallagher has been nothing short of a sensation for Palace this season, with his form and performances playing a huge role in Vieira’s incredible first year in south London. And the Eagles must do all they can to sign the midfielder from Chelsea for good.
Whilst there is competition in Newcastle and Everton for Gallagher, the connection the midfielder now has to Palace could make a permanent signing easy for the Premier League side, especially if Chelsea opts to sell the midfielder this summer.
