Speaking on Ian Wright’s YouTube channel, Emile Smith Rowe has shared what his Arsenal teammates have been telling him to work on.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, his teammates have told him to get in the gym more and work on his physique and strength, and that’s some advice that Smith Rowe has seemingly taken on board.
Indeed, Ian Wright commented on Smith Rowe’s improved physique, and the midfielder said that he’d been told to work harder in the gym by a couple of his teammates.
“The gym work man, there’s some henchness there,” Ian Wright said.
“I’ve been trying, I’ve been trying. I’m feeling good,” Smith Rowe replied.
“A couple of players have been telling me to get in the gym and stuff, so yeah I think it’s paying off now.”

Smith Rowe isn’t going to be Adama Traore anytime soon, but it’s clear to see that he’s getting to where he wants to be.
He looks a lot stronger than he did when he made his debut as a teenager, and while he isn’t steamrolling through players, he’s holding his own in Premier League games on a weekly basis these days.
Aside from the fact that being stronger has helped his game, it’s great to see that the 20-year-old is willing to take this advice on board and put it into practice.
It’s this sort of attitude that could make him into a star for years to come, and if he carries on making these sort of improvements to his game, the sky is the limit for him.
