Michael Owen has said on Premier League Productions that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool can still win the Premier League title ahead of Manchester City despite failing to win against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening.

Liverpool have played out a 1-1 draw with Tottenham at Anfield in the Premier League this evening.

The result means that the Reds are now at the top of the Premier League table with 83 points from 35 matches.

Last season’s champions Manchester City are second with 83 points from 34 games.

Liverpool have a better goal difference, but City are in action on Sunday.

Former Liverpool striker Owen believes that the Reds can still win the Premier League title this season.

Michael Owen on Liverpool v Manchester City title race

Owen said on Premier League Productions: “It’s not a disaster. If City win all their games they’ll win it anyway. They only need to slip up once and Liverpool are right there. It’s a blow but the title rice is still alive.”

In our view, the Premier League title race between Liverpool and Manchester City is not over.

Yet.

City could still drop points.

Just look at the way Pep Guardiola’s side collapsed against Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals.

City can be beaten and can drop points.

Just like Liverpool did against Tottenham at Anfield.

We think that the Premier League title race will be decided on the final day of the season, and that Liverpool can still win it.
