Luis Garcia praised Jamie Carragher on his Instagram story for his ‘great analysis’ of Liverpool’s derby day defeat and his comments about the Anfield supporters.

On Sky Sports on Monday night, Carragher made it clear that he ‘won’t apologise’ to the Liverpool supporters after being criticised for being critical of the team at the weekend, as posted by the Liverpool Echo.

Liverpool suffered a fourth straight home defeat, this time it was the worst of the lot because Everton rocked up at their front door and claimed their first win at Anfield in 22 years.

Nonetheless, following Carragher defending himself on Sky from Liverpool supporters, this is what his former teammate, Garcia wrote on his Instagram story:

“Great analysis of the derby,” said Garcia. “It’s not about criticising the reds. It’s a point of view after analysing the game.”

Things aren’t going from bad to worse for Liverpool fans, but it’s turning out to be an utter disaster and nightmare.

As things stand, the reigning champions may find themselves finishing outside fo the top-four, which was unthinkable before a ball was kicked this season.

There’s not much light at the end of the tunnel because Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip aren’t getting any closer to returning.

Either way, if anything is going to get Liverpool out of their current mess then it doesn’t seem as though the defence will grind them through to wins, but their recently struggling attack needs to get firing again.
