Reported Tottenham Hotspur and Everton target Max Aarons has the ability to play Champions League football in 2021/22, Norwich City’s head of football development Stuart Weaver has told Coaches Voice.
Whether that’s with Spurs or Everton remains to be seen, however.
With two months of the season remaining, Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti could still lead their sides into the Premier League’s top four, even if they currently sit in seventh and sixth place respectively.
Regardless of whether they miss out on a place in Europe’s elite club competition, Tottenham and Everton are both expected to come calling for one of the game’s most exciting young full-backs when the summer window opens.
EuroSport claims jet-heeled Norwich City right-back Aarons has been lined up to replace Serge Aurier at Spurs.
Everton, meanwhile, have identified the £35 million-rated 21-year-old as Seamus Coleman’s long-term successor (TEAMtalk).

“I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Max Aarons was playing Champions League football next year,” Weaver says of the England U21 international.
“I’m not sure there’s a ceiling for him. There hasn’t been a single part of his journey so far where he hasn’t been in control or looked completely comfortable.
“There’s no indication from Max that he wouldn’t be able to play at any level.”
With Norwich ten points clear at the top of the Championship and cruising back to the Premier League, Daniel Farke is determined to hang on to every one of his star players, from Aarons to Todd Cantwell and Emi Buendia.
But, after selling James Maddison, Jamal Lewis and Ben Godfrey in recent windows, the Canaries have history when it comes to selling – and replacing – their prized assets.
“We have to be ready for a big bid to come in for him,” Weaver adds.
“It’s no surprise to us he’s being talked about as a potential signing for some of the biggest clubs around.”
Aarons has also been linked with Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Barcelona during the past 12 months or so.
