Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir admits that he is flattered to be linked with clubs all over Europe with Liverpool, Everton and Newcastle United apparently in the race to sign the Turkey international, according to Haber.
As any Super Lig superfans will tell you, the 24-year-old shot-stopper will be a household name across the continent sooner rather than later.
It is thanks to Cakir’s cat-like reflexes that Trabzonspor were on the verge of their first top-flight title since 1984 before the season was put on pause. As a result, a summer departure now feels inevitable, with a number of Premier League clubs batting their eyelashes in the direction of a £23 million-rated goalkeeper.
Carlo Ancelotti wants Cakir at Everton with Fanatik suggesting that the twice-capped international could move to Goodison Park to add to the pressure on Jordan Pickford’s shoulders. Newcastle have been linked too, via HaberTS, despite some virtuoso performances from their current number one, Martin Dubravka.
But, if former Trabzonspor coach Sadi Tekelioglu is to be believed, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have all-but wrapped up a deal to bring Cakir to Anfield (Takvim).

Many a player might be distracted by such incessant speculation but Cakir, it seems, is taking everything in his stride.
“It is nice to be noticed and followed by great teams,” he admits. “But I have goals in Trabzonspor and I want to achieve these goals. My transfer will be spoken about when it comes.
“We have missed football very much. I hope we will move towards our goal (of winning the league when the season can be resumed).”
With Adrian facing an uncertain future on Merseyside after those horror mistakes in the FA Cup and Champions League defeats to Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, Cakir could potentially step into his place and provide some more serious competition for Alisson Becker between the sticks at Liverpool.
