Sepp Van den Berg has suggested that he has no intention of leaving Liverpool this summer in the Liverpool Echo.
Van den Berg has been loaned out by Liverpool to Preston North End this season, where he has tasted regular first-team football for the first time.
Van den Berg has played 16 times for Preston, leading to some suggestions that the move may be made permanent.
However, the 19-year-old has suggested that his aim actually is to get back into Liverpool’s team and prove his value to Jurgen Klopp.
“It’s been a hard season for Liverpool but hopefully when I go back to Liverpool, I’ll get a chance as well and be able to play then,” he said.
“I’m still 19 so there is really no rush for me. My dream is to be able to play for Liverpool.
“I signed for five years when I came. I will have three years left in the summer. There is plenty of time for me.
“It’s my dream to play for Liverpool. That is all I think about in the long term, there is nothing else I think about.”

Van den Berg does at least have time on his side as he aims to break into the Reds’ team.
The prospect has previously proven a bright spark in Liverpool’s under-23 side and has been given some first team minutes by Jurgen Klopp.
His encouraging loan spell also suggests that he has a bright future in football.
Van den Berg’s task of breaking into Liverpool’s team is likely to become harder next season though, as Klopp’s side are set to have more competition for places in central defence once their injured players return.
