Gary Neville has stated that Tottenham Hotspur’s Stadium is ‘mesmerising’ and ‘unbelievable’, as he told his own podcast.

Tottenham may have their issues on the pitch, but everything that surrounds it, is probably one of the best in the land.

It recently hosted Anthony Joshua’s blockbuster heavyweight clash against Oleksandr Usyk.

The Briton ended up losing all of his belts – the WBA, IBF and WBO titles – after a unanimous points decision defeat last Saturday.

Perhaps Tottenham isn’t a good omen, after all, because one certain word was trending when Joshua lost his belts.

Nonetheless, Neville spoke in awe at the stadium Spurs have built in North London, after leaving White Hart Lane.

“I have been in that stadium. It’s mesmerising. It’s an unbelievable stadium. You certainly could (take your holiday’s there). You look at the bars at the back.

“You think of a concourse and refreshments at a football ground then you think of the best bar’s you got to in any city in the world. Then you think ‘there you go, they (Spurs) have got them’.

“But there is just something wrong on the culture side. You shouldn’t be disrespected because of a few bad years. Even 20 or 30 bad years.”

It’s all good talking about how great Tottenham’s stadium is, the great bars, restaurants or anything else that’s fancy inside those walls.

But, at the end of the day, fans go to games for the football, and not for a VIP-like treatment.

All of that is good, for added luxury, if the team you support is winning and doing the business.

But, at the end of the day, if the team is delivering the goods out on the pitch then fans don’t care if they can or can’t buy a homemade pizza from inside the concourses.
