Aaron Ramsdale proved why he’s so loved at Arsenal with his actions toward Emile Smith Rowe last night.
Smith Rowe earned his England debut in the 5-0 demolition of Albania at Wembley.
It was only a brief cameo from the Arsenal academy product but a massive step in the right direction nonetheless.
Straight after the game, Ramsdale, an unused substitute, was filmed giving the 20-year-old midfielder a warm hug in acknowledgement of the milestone.
And here’s how some fans of the North London club reacted on Twitter:
Legend
Ramsdale is already shaping up to be an Arsenal legend.
Not only is he absolutely brilliant, evident by his heroics against Leicester City last month.
But as a personality, he is completely immense too and this is a player who the Gunners fans will adore for years to come.
Mikel Arteta signed him for £30 million from Sheffield United this past summer.
It seemed like a lot of money for a relegated goalkeeper but Ramsdale is proving Arteta right in a massive way these days.
On the pitch and off of it, he’s such a massive credit to the Gunners and this incident with Smith Rowe proves as much.
