Chris Sutton has slammed Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte on Twitter.
The Spurs manager watched his side lose 2-0 at home to Aston Villa on New Year’s Day.
Their form before the World Cup break was questionable and now that domestic football has resumed, the Lilywhites remain an enigmatic side.
Tottenham missed the chance to reclaim fourth place in the Premier League, as a result of losing yesterday.
The Italian manager invariably shields his players from criticism, often deflecting attention elsewhere.

And Sutton has slammed the former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss, insisting that he’s running out of excuses.
Sutton is right in saying that Conte does often excuse the Tottenham players.
Then again, that’s his job.
He is a brilliant man-manager and part of his method is to avoid slaughtering his personnel in public, even when they certainly deserve criticism.
For the overall morale, Conte looking a fool for not slamming his team on live television is a small price to pay if they stay on his side.
Yes, things are tricky for the 52-year-old – who earns a whopping £384,000 per week – but in terms of the bigger picture, Conte has to show leadership and avoid criticising his players during press conferences.
