Speaking on TalkSPORT’s YouTube channel, Gabriel Agbonlahor has been speaking about Tottenham and Arsenal’s chances of making the top four this season.

Arsenal’s dreams of making the top four are pretty much already over. They’re bottom of the league after three games, and they already have so much catching up to do in order to fulfil their Champions League dreams.

Spurs have a much better chance as they’ve won every game in the Premier League so far, but despite their bright start, Agbonlahor thinks it’s impossible for Spurs to make the top four this term.

What’s been said?

Agbonlahor responded when he was asked about the north London clubs’ top-four chances.

“Yeah I think it’s impossible for both teams, Spurs have started well, but the top four is the top four. Manchester City, United, Liverpool and Chelsea will be the top four. But Spurs, I think Spurs will finish higher than Arsenal.”

Impossible?

Agbonlahor has completely written Spurs and Arsenal off, and we think that might be a bit harsh.

Fair enough, it’s not ridiculous to make such a claim about Arsenal. After all, they are bottom of the Premier League after three games, but Spurs are flying right now.

How can you say it’s impossible for Spurs to make top four when we live in a world where Leicester City can be Premier League champions?

Tottenham have a real chance of qualifying for the Champions League this season, and while Agbonlahor thinks it’s impossible, it wouldn’t surprise us if the north London club prove the pundit absolutely wrong.
