NBA legend and die-hard Tottenham fan Steve Nash sat down for an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, and raved about the quality of the current setup at Spurs, whilst offering high words of praise for star striker Harry Kane.

The Lilywhites have enjoyed a successful campaign thus far, despite being knocked out of the Champions League by Juventus earlier this month, and they still have plenty left to play for this season.

Mauricio Pochettino, Manager of Tottenham Hotspur speaks to Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur during the press conference at Allianz Stadium on February 12, 2018 in Turin, Italy.

Mauricio Pochettino deserves great credit for the manner in which he has gone about his business since taking over as manager way back in 2014, with his club now considered to be genuine challengers for the Premier League title on a yearly basis.

Nash, a two-time NBA MVP, raved about Tottenham and Kane, when speaking exclusively to the club’s official website, labelling the England international as ‘phenomenal’:

“The players and coaching staff have been phenomenal. Obviously we had a big heartbreak against Juventus but largely we were the better side, so there’s lots to go on but that’s football, that’s life. It’s hard not to love Harry Kane. I’ll argue with anyone that he’s a top five or six player in the world because he just does so many things for his team beyond scoring all those goals in the last calendar year. He’s phenomenal.”

Next up for Spurs is their huge clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on April 1st, and if they manage to avoid defeat there, they will stand a great chance of securing Champions League football once again for next season.
