Tottenham Hotspur fans are delighted with the news that Gareth Bale could play against West Ham United on Sunday, as covered by Football London.

Bale featured prominently for Spurs last night, as they won 4-1 in the Europa League.

The Welshman scored and claimed an assist, as he edged closer to full match sharpness.

Bale has constantly been overlooked at Tottenham this season, but there is now hope that he could feature against West Ham.

And Mourinho’s words may just hint that he is planning on starting the 31-year-old.

“By taking him off at that minute we managed to save him a few miles in his legs and probably, I know the match is Sunday at 12pm, but I believe he has a chance to play the match,” Mourinho said.

The team selection hint has certainly excited Tottenham fans, who feel that Bale is deserving of a place in their team now.

If Bale does start with Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane then Spurs’s attack, on paper, will look a huge threat.

Tottenham have rarely been able to line up with Bale, Son and Kane in attack together this season, despite there being great excitement about the damage that the trio could do at the start of the campaign.

If Tottenham can beat West Ham at the weekend then they will move to within three points of David Moyes’s side, which will be a major boost to their chances of qualifying for Europe next term.
