‘It’s happening’: Some Arsenal fans think they’ve spotted sign Partey is coming

Arsenal fans believe that a move for Thomas Partey could be edging closer to completion, as Atletico Madrid are lining up a bid for Marc Roca.

AS Sport claim that Atletico want Roca, who does look like a potential replacement for Partey, with the Ghanian heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

The Telegraph reported yesterday that Arsenal still consider Partey to be a ‘key’ target, as Arteta lines up moves.

And Arsenal fans are encouraged that Atletico want Roca, as they think it’s a sign that Diego Simeone’s side are planning for life without the 27-year-old midfielder.

Roca and Partey do play in a similar position, but Arsenal fans may not want to get their hopes up too much just yet.

Arsenal surely will need to offload players before considering bringing Partey in, as Atleti’s asking price is high.

If Partey was brought to Arsenal he would be an extremely exciting addition to Mikel Arteta’s side though.

Partey is one of the leading defensive midfielders in La Liga, and his arrival would make Arsenal much tougher to beat.
