Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after Arsenal prodigy Folarin Balogun left a comment on Curtis Jones’ Instagram post yesterday.

The Gunners prospect is being tracked by Liverpool according to Sky Sports, and his Instagram activity has understandably got plenty of supporters talking.

The 19-year-old striker left an emoji showing two hands shaking on the Liverpool midfielder’s Instagram upload. Jones then replied with a ‘fingers crossed’ emoji, implying that he hopes something happens.

There could well be nothing in this Instagram activity.

However, the interesting – and subtle – use of emojis is very cryptic, and seems to have gathered plenty of interest.

If Liverpool do manage to convince Balogun to swap the Emirates for Anfield, Jurgen Klopp will have a massive talent on his hands.

The teenager has broken into Arsenal’s first-team this season under Mikel Arteta, and has scored two goals in just 61 minutes of Europa League action this term.

Despite his emergence in north London, Balogun’s future is far from certain.

The attacker’s contract with the Gunners expires in June, and he is yet to pen fresh terms.

On that note, a departure could happen if Arteta fails to convince him that his future lies with Arsenal – in our view.

Let’s see how the Liverpool fans on Twitter reacted to his Instagram activity…
