Arsenal fans are pleased with Lucas Torreira’s latest Twitter update, which suggests he is making good progress on his return from injury.

Torreira fractured his ankle in Arsenal’s match against Portsmouth, and was expected to spend three months on the sidelines.

The Uruguayan posted that he was back running in his back garden though, as the Arsenal midfielder steps up his recovery.

And Arsenal fans were pleased to see Torreira getting back to full fitness.

Torreira may actually have a chance of featuring again for Arsenal this season now.

The Premier League is not due to return for another month, and by that time the £26 million midfielder (BBC Sport) should be even further down the line in his recovery.

Torreira has made 33 appearances for Arsenal this term, scoring twice and claiming one assist.
