Pep Guardiola has stated that it’s ‘good news’ that 2,000 supporters each from Manchester City and Tottenham will be able to attend the League Cup final at Wembley, as he told his pre-match press conference.
Even though Premier League football is still being played behind closed doors, slowly but surely, restrictions across the country are being lifted.
Whilst 2000 each is still a limited amount, it’s a start and it will allow some lucky Tottenham and Man City supporters to watch a cup final, which has more added pressure for those from North London than those at the Etihad.
Nonetheless, this is what Guardiola had to say in regards to 4000 fans in total (BBC Sport) set to watch the League Cup final later on this month.
“It’s the first step,” said Guardiola. “If the government said we can do it then it’s good news.
“Of course, 2000 isn’t much but it’s okay, it’s the first step. So, hopefully, in the future, we will come back to normality.
“But, at the same time, always follow the instructions for the government, of course, and for the scientists.”

Pep vs Jose doesn’t have the same fight, aggression and nastiness it used to have during their days in Spain.
But it’s still a heavyweight showdown on the touchline and one Mourinho has to win.
A lot has been said about how his season has panned out at Spurs, and if he cannot deliver a top-four finish, then winning the League Cup will shut up a number of people.
