Andrea Radrizzani is set to buy a 50 per cent share in Leeds United in the near future.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Andrea Radrizzani’s takeover of Leeds United is edging closer to completion.

Radrizzani has reportedly agreed a deal to take over 50 per cent of Leeds with Massimo Cellino, and the move is expected to go through in the near future.

Radrizzani has been hinting that he is close to taking over the Whites for some time in social media.

The Italian businessman also went on record last month, to confirm his interest in buying Leeds from Cellino.

At the moment, Cellino is only willing to sacrifice half of his stake in Leeds, as Garry Monk’s side are pushing for promotion.

Leeds are currently in fourth place in the Championship table, and there are genuine hopes that they could return to the Premier League next season.

If that is the case, Cellino intends to keep his 50 per cent share in Leeds – and he will not sell up entirely.

However, if Leeds miss out on promotion this term, Radrizzani will reportedly be able to buy out Cellino and take a 100 per cent share in Leeds.
