Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to celebrate after hearing that Marcelo Bielsa had been named as one of the finalists for FIFA’s 2020 Best Men’s Coach award.
The Argentine is up against Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp and Bayern Munich tactician Hansi Flick for the coveted award.
Bielsa makes his way into the final three having guided Leeds back into the Premier League with flying colours, after a 16-year absence from the top-flight.
Flick is on the shortlist after overseeing the treble with Bayern Munich. The Bavarians won the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and the Champions League under his management.
In Klopp’s case, he of course guided Liverpool to their first ever Premier League title, while also winning the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.

Some were not happy when Bielsa was included on the initial shortlist.
Brazilian media outlet UOL wrote a whole article complaining about his inclusion, stating that Eurocentrism was at large and coaches such as ex-Flamengo boss Jorge Jesus should’ve been included.

In that respect, we can only imagine how infuriated they will be after seeing Bielsa named in the final three.
Let’s see how the Leeds fans on Twitter reacted to the ex-Marseille manager’s achievement…
