Andros Townsend should draw a line under leaving Newcastle for Crystal Palace by switching back after just six months.
Newcastle United have been linked with making a move to re-sign former winger Andros Townsend.
The Mail reported the Toon were interested, despite the winger leaving them after they were relegated, to join Crystal Palace.

His Palace spell has been unsuccessful so far, with manager Alan Pardew fired and replaced with Sam Allardyce, and the club stuck in another relegation battle.
Townsend on one hand could wait it out before making a decision on his future, and see which divisions the two clubs are playing in next season.
Newcastle are favourites yet not certainties to win promotion, and Palace’s fate really could go either way.

Yet Townsend would surely win more respect if he pushed to make the switch now, and admitted he got it wrong.
Rightly or not, the winger left a ‘too good for the Championship’ attitude behind him when he moved on in the summer, and he would win the respect of fans by dropping down a division.
Moving to Newcastle in the summer would reflect negatively on him, having decided not to dig in this season, and his performances would come under more pressure as a result.
This season at Palace he has just one goal and one assist in 17 appearances, fewer than the four goals and two assists he managed in 13 games for Newcastle last season.
It is obvious that he might enjoy his football more by returning to Newcastle, potentially for just half a season in the Championship, before having another crack at the Premier League.
