Ian Wright has labelled the post-match questions put to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on Sunday as ‘crazy’, as he told Premier League Productions (07/11/21 at 6:55 pm).

The former striker shared that he can understand why managers ‘get so angry’ in post-match interviews as Liverpool suffered a 3-2 defeat to West Ham on Sunday.

There were a number of controversial moments during the game, including the opening goal scored by the Hammers and the high tackle on Jordan Henderson by Aaron Cresswell.

West Ham’s players surrounded Alisson for the opening goal, which came via a corner, with the shot-stopper complaining that he was fouled by Angelo Ogbonna as he tried to punch the ball away.

It was put to Klopp, amongst several other questions, whether the Liverpool keeper could have done better to clear the space around him.

When Wright heard the interview that Klopp had to conduct, he seemingly felt sorry for him.

“What that made me realise is that I am glad I am not a manager,” said Wright. “Listening to some of the questions they get asked.

“Honestly, it’s just crazy. You can see why some of them get so angry and walk off.

“Some of the questions are really bad for the managers.”

It’s fair to say that Klopp wasn’t a happy man after that defeat at the London Stadium.

Not only was Liverpool’s unbeaten run ended, but it’s another game where they have conceded a worrying number of goals.

If the Reds are to lift the Premier League title at the end of the season, then they know that they simply cannot allow to open their doors in such a wide fashion and not know how to shut them.

Virgil van Dijk, after his long injury lay-off, is still trying to warm up his engine, whilst it doesn’t help that they have to constantly change their midfield.
