Bukayo Saka has raved about Arsenal teammate Gabriel Martinelli, who just never stops running on the Premier League’s official Youtube channel.

Martinelli has recently returned from injury for Arsenal, and is still biding his time, as he waits to break into Mikel Arteta’s first-team.

The Brazilian has often had to take up a reserve role, with most his game time coming from the bench.

But Saka believes that Martinelli is one of the fittest players in Arsenal’s team, and possesses great speed over long distances.

Saka said, in an interview conducted over the weekend: “Just watch him play and press, the way he goes he doesn’t stop.

“He’s not only just fast, he can also run a long distance at that same speed and just get faster. You look at his Chelsea goal he didn’t slow down or get tired. It’s not just his pace it’s his engine as well. It’s crazy. It’s like he’s got a battery pack on his back.”

Martinelli’s desire and energy is one of the reasons why he is already a hugely popular figure at Arsenal.

Although the teenager hasn’t quite broken into the starting line-up yet, there are massive hopes for his future at the Emirates Stadium.

Martinelli made it into double figures for goals last campaign, and there is still a feeling that he could have a key role to play over the second half of the season.

Martinelli may have to bide his time before he is given more chances, though.

Arsenal’s attacking performances have improved of late, and the likes of Saka and Nicolas Pepe have both been in good form.
