Speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast, Harry Redknapp has backed Tottenham Hotspur to finish in the top four in the Premier League.

The ex-Spurs boss says that things have changed in the past few weeks as Arsenal have hit a poor run of form, while Spurs have looked steadier – aside from a poor loss to Brighton at the weekend.

Redknapp believes that the balance of power has shifted, and he’s now backing Tottenham to clinch that final Champions League spot.

What’s been said?

Redknapp spoke about Spurs and Arsenal’s top-four chances.

“I think Tottenham, to me it looks like they’re going to get that fourth spot. It’s changed in the past couple of weeks, Arsenal have had a few bad results, I couldn’t believe how poor they were at Palace. I think Chelsea will hold on to third, but Tottenham are in good form suddenly, they look decent at the moment,” Redknapp said.

Favourites

Redknapp is absolutely right, all of a sudden, Spurs are the favourites to get that fourth spot.

Of course, their loss to Burnley at the weekend wasn’t ideal, but with Arsenal losing their last three, the Lilywhites are in pole position to nick fourth.

The Gunners have a much tougher run of fixtures and are in worse form, so it’s hard to fancy Mikel Areta’s side to pip Antonio Conte’s men.

Of course, there’s the lingering threat of Manchester United, but after poor performances against Everton, Norwich and Leicester, the Red Devils don’t seem to have what it takes to usurp either London club.
