Tyler Roberts has told BBC Sport that it has been ‘frustrating’ that he hasn’t been able to score in the Premier League for Leeds.
The 22-year-old is still searching for that elusive Premier League goal in a Leeds shirt after registering two assists from his 18 games.
Roberts isn’t always a regular starter, although he has had a run of games of late, which doesn’t help his cause in trying to find that rhythm.
But it’s going to be a chance of scenery for the versatile Leeds attacker ahead of Wales’ up and coming international matches.
“It’s been frustrating, not scoring yet,” said Roberts. “I’ve been hard on myself for not scoring, but I have faith it will happen.
On playing in a front three for Wales: “Any position I can get minutes in I’m easy.
“Thinking of the future I see myself as a number nine and prefer playing nine.
“Number 10 is a position I’ve kind of learned and had to study over the last few years. But I’m comfortable playing there.”

The positive for Roberts is that he still has his best years ahead of him and this is still a learning curve for the Welshman.
Perhaps getting a goal for his country during this coming week might provide him with the much-needed confidence that he craves.
Until then, under the stewardship of someone like Marcelo Bielsa, there is no doubt that Roberts will continue to progress.
