Ian Wright has told the Wrighty’s House podcast that he absolutely loves Marcelo Bielsa’s relationship with Patrick Bamford.
Bamford has thrived in the Premier League with Leeds this season, and currently sits on 11 goals for the campaign.
That puts the Leeds striker in among the very best scorers in England’s top flight this campaign.
But Bamford’s time at Leeds has not always gone so successfully.
The 27-year-old has come in for some fierce criticism at times, especially when Leeds were in the Championship, over his finishing ability.
Bielsa has stuck by Bamford throughout though, and Wright absolutely loves how much faith the Argentine boss has shown in the front man.
“I love it. It’s beautiful. Faith,” Wright said.
“I remember seeing a goal which he scored in practice and Bielsa walked 20 yards to hug him.

“When you look at what Bamford has been through, six loan moves and Sean Dyche talking about his upbringing, the fact that he was private schooled – all things which is meaningless to a footballer. And taking about Palace fans not liking the way he runs.
“He’s been through so much, people saying he’ll never turn into a Premier League striker and the Leeds fans have to get a lot of credit for sticking with him.
“The manager has stuck with him and I’m not sure if you could ever find too many places where you’ll find another manager with that much faith that he could have dropped at any stage over the last three years.”
Bamford has fully rewarded Bielsa’s faith this term and there is even talk that the Leeds man could earn an England call-up as his form has been so strong.
Bamford will next in action for Leeds later this evening, when they take on Everton at Elland Road.
