Arsenal started their Premier League campaign with a 2-0 win over Wolves on Saturday afternoon.
Mikel Arteta’s side picked up where they left off last season as they pushed Wolves aside to begin their title charge.
There will be few complaints from Arsenal fans about the way their side played over the weekend, but there are still a few supporters disgruntled with referee Jarrod Gillett.
Gunners fans felt Wolves should have been down to 10 men after Yerson Mosquera clashed with Kai Havertz.
The two players came together and Mosquera was pictured putting his hands around Havertz’s throat while falling to the ground.
The Colombian defender escaped the incident without punishment despite it being reviewed by VAR.

Former Premier League referee responds to Mosquera incident
Arsenal fans were baffled that Mosquera didn’t see red after raising his hands. There have certainly been similar challenges in recent seasons that resulted in a sending-off.
Speaking on Sky Sports‘ ‘Ref Watch’ former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher sided with Jarrod Gillett and argued that the challenge was not worthy of a red card.
“I didn’t think it would be a red, only he knows how much force,” Gallagher said. “He’s got to put his hand somewhere but does he have to put it there? I’m not convinced.
“I think it’s aggressive but not violent for me. The referee sees it different to them two being stood up. It was probably the right decision.”

Despite admitting that it was “aggressive”, Gallagher believes the on-field decision was correct.
Gallagher’s verdict is certainly controversial, with 62 percent of fans voting that Mosquera should have been sent off.
