Speaking on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, Michail Antonio has been waxing-lyrical about Heung-Min Son after his fantastic season for Spurs.
For his final podcast of the season, Antonio was tasked with naming who he thought was the Premier League’s Player of the Year, and the Jamaica international couldn’t look past the Spurs star.
Indeed, despite playing for West Ham, Antonio had to give Son the credit that he deserves, stating that he’s been the best player in the Premier League for a couple of years now.
What’s been said?
Antonio had nothing but good things to say about Son.
“I agree, I’ve been saying this for the past couple of years that Son is the best player in the Premier League, if he was at one of the top two teams I can’t even tell you how many he would score. I’ve played against him, and the things he’s done in games like running through five men and finishing, it’s actually frightening how good he is,” Antonio said.
“Everyone was saying how quality Mo Salah is, the thing is Mo Salah is a joke, I’m not taking that away from him, but I’m giving it to Son, he’s got it all.”

Player of the Year
Antonio says that Son was the best player in the Premier League this season, and we’re sure there are many who agree.
The South Korean was unbelievable in front of goal this season. He netted 23 times for Tottenham, and none of those 23 efforts came from the penalty spot – making his tally even more impressive.
Son has been brilliant for Spurs, and it’s hard to really make a case against him being the best player in the division this term.
