Arsenal sensation Bukayo Saka has revealed that he feels stuck between a rock and a hard place.

The England-born winger has established himself as one of Europe’s most exciting teenagers this season following a series of dazzling displays for the Gunners.

But the 18-year-old star is also eligible to represent Nigeria at international level.

If he carries on like this, there is every chance that he’ll be getting a senior cap for the Three Lions, despite not yet featuring for the Under-21s.

And the Arsenal-raised product has admitted to Sky Sports News that it’s such a ‘tough choice’ for him to decide between the nation of his birth and his family’s homeland.

The youngster, who extended his contract earlier this month, said: “It’s a tough choice. I’m happy to have represented England at youth level but I’m also proud of my Nigerian heritage from my parents.

“We haven’t been picked by any team so it’s about staying humble and when the time comes we’ll make the decision.”

It’s imperative that Saka keeps his feet on the ground and, as he says himself, stays humble.

There’s arguably been more exciting prospects than him who burst on to the scene and then failed to live up to their undeniable potential.

So it’s very important that the player – and Arsenal have a big role to play in this – remains grounded and doesn’t get carried away by the wave of hype, as other players have.

Otherwise, he could wind up playing for neither.
