The Argentine has performed magnificently in his role as Tottenham Hotspur manager.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media yesterday, ahead of his side’s Premier League clash with Southampton on Sunday, and responded to a question asking him what is the worst thing about managing in England, as quoted by popular football news website Football.London.
The Argentine has worked wonders during his time in charge of Tottenham following his appointment as manager of the Lilywhites back in May 2014, and he deserves great credit for the manner in which he has transformed his group of players into perennial title contenders.
Pochettino actually arrived in England just over five years ago, when he was handed the Southampton job in January 2013, and he dd not speak a word of English when he took over at St Mary’s.
He has obviously come a long way since then, and can now speak the native language fluently.
The Spurs boss addressed the media yesterday, and opened up on his time in the Premier League, responding to a question asking him what is the worst thing about working in England, as quoted by popular football news website Football.London:
“That we live in the dark. When you compare with Barcelona, the weather is different. It’s more cloudy than sunny. In Spain, it’s the opposite. That is the struggle a little bit.”
Pochettino will take his team to Southampton tomorrow knowing that nothing less than a win will do, if they hope to keep the pressure up on those above them in the table.
It will likely be a cold and blustery day down on the south coast, and Pochettino’s men will be expecting another tough encounter.
