Andros Townsend has admitted that ‘it’s a shame’ that Mauricio Pochettino hardly featured in Tottenham’s documentary All or Nothing.

The Crystal Palace winger also told talkSPORT (02/09/20 at 8:20 am) that Jose Mourinho was ‘box office’ as he took centre-stage in the Amazon documentary.

Pochettino was sacked by Spurs last November, only months after they were beaten in the Champions League final, with Mourinho replacing him in the dugout.

Townsend worked under Pochettino during his time in North London, as he shared his thoughts on the documentary and how Poch was portrayed.

“It’s a shame we didn’t get more of Pochettino,” Townsend told talkSPORT. “But, unfortunately, Jose Mourinho is box office and he gets the viewing figures, doesn’t he?!

“When they lost in the Champions League, there was no footage post-game, so they obviously told the camera to ‘do one’.

“So, it must be so difficult this season for Spurs to be going through a bad spell, losing games and having that camera in your face. On your coach, in your dressing room and it must have been tough as well.”

Tottenham’s All or Nothing documentary hit the screens of football supporters worldwide this week, and it’s fair to say, it didn’t disappoint.

Many were hoping that Pochettino, who was a popular figure during his time at Spurs, would feature a lot more, but it wasn’t meant to be.

And whilst supporters saw only a small part of Pochettino, they did witness the outspoken Mourinho entertain all with his forthright views and man-tough management skills.
