Leon Osman has raved about Leeds United winger Jack Harrison on Match of the Day on BBC One (10:51pm, May 15, 2021).

The former Everton midfielder, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport, was impressed by Harrison’s performance during Leeds’s 4-0 win against Burnley at Turf Moor in the Premier League on Saturday.

Osman believes that the 24-year-old, on loan from Manchester City, is having an incredible season, and has said that it is a shame that he will not get a look-in into the England squad for the European Championship this summer due to manager Gareth Southgate having too many options in that position.

The pundit said about Harrison on Match of the Day on BBC One (10:51pm, May 15, 2021): “It’s a shame because he has had an incredible season, Stats speak for themselves, to have done so well, but we have got an embarrassment of riches in that area, but the young lad has just got to do what he is doing and impress every time he plays.”

Harrison scored a goal against Burnley and also provided two assists, as Leeds eased past Burnley 4-0 at Turf Moor.

The 24-year-old, who can also operate as an attacking midfielder and is in his third year on loan at Leeds, has scored eight goals and provided eight assists in 32 Premier League starts for Marcelo Bielsa’s side this season.

Harrison was always unlikely to be part of the England squad this summer, but he still only 24.

If the City-owned winger continues to do well, then he will get the chance to play for the Three Lions in the coming years.
