West Ham United striker Michail Antonio lavished praise on to Mikel Arteta for the incredible coaching job he has done at Arsenal so far.

The £158,000-a-week (GiveMeSport) man at the Emirates Stadium has led his side from one of their darkest times upon his appointment to potential title winners in his third season at the club.

Michail Antonio, who gave Arsenal the run-around as West Ham secured a 2-2 draw on Sunday lauded Mikel Arteta.

The Spaniard has been praised by several fans and pundits alike this season, considering his side were never expected to challenge for the league title in the ongoing campaign.

Yet, with just seven games left so far, the Gunners are league leaders and could very well become the champions of England.

Despite West Ham restricting Arsenal to a draw in his side’s previous outing, Michail Antonio went out of his way to praise Mikel Arteta.

“The skills to actually do what you’re doing, study it, come and then actually pull it off, even though the guy who’s mastered it is there and you’re beating him at doing his own thing, it’s unbelievable”, he said on the Footballer’s Football Podcast.

“The craziest thing is how they’re doing it. I was watching the game and I was like: ‘if I shut my eyes, this could be City’, exactly how they play. Mate, [Gabriel] Jesus was picking it up at six. It was a mess. You can’t stay in your shape. They move you out your shape. It’s unbelievable.”

Regardless of whether Arsenal win the league or not, Michail Antonio is right when reinforcing how sizable a job Mikel Arteta has done so far. While many doubted Arteta during his initial few years at the club, he deserves all the credit in the world for how he made his side into a title-challenging team once again
