‘It’s a farce’: Arsenal fans are furious with what could be about to happen at Tottenham

Arsenal fans are not happy with suggestions in the Telegraph that Tottenham Hotspur could have their game against Brighton & Hove Albion postponed.

Game off?

Tottenham have suffered with disrupted preparations ahead of their clash with Brighton on Sunday, with seven of their players reportedly testing positive for the virus.

There are now claims that Spurs could ask the Premier League to reschedule their game against Brighton, as they have so many players out.

But Arsenal fans are not happy with that news, and say that it would be unfair if Tottenham are given permission to call off the match.

Arsenal actually had a similar scenario before their first game of the season.

The Gunners were unable to call on a number of their players for their season opener against Brentford, which they ultimately went on to lose 2-0. 

And Arsenal supporters think that Tottenham should have to play at the weekend, even with depleted numbers.

Tough schedule ahead?

Tottenham actually have a game on Thursday in the UEFA Conference League against Rennes, and it seems likely to take place.

UEFA state that if there are over 13 players fit, then teams are obliged to play in the fixture.

If Tottenham do have to postpone their game against Brighton it will be their second abandonment in a matter of weeks.

Tottenham are already having to play catch up after their game against Burnley was called off due to snow, and they could have a very busy fixture list, if the clash with Brighton also fails to go ahead.
