Spurs ace Christian Eriksen spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s superb 5-1 win over Stoke City yesterday, and expressed his pride having made 200 appearances for Tottenham, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Dane joined the Lilywhites from Ajax in the summer of 2013, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £12.5 million, and has proven himself to be worth every penny of that fee, and more, scoring 46 goals and chipping in with 61 assists.
Eriksen has been part of a Spurs team that has challenged for the Premier League title over the last two seasons, and because of that, there is now huge pressure on him and his teammates to go one step further, and win a major trophy this season.

The 25-year-old is considered to be one of Tottenham’s key players, and he will have to be at his very best, if his side are to have any chance of glory, either domestically or on the continent.
Eriksen spoke to reporters after his 200th appearance for the north London outfit, describing how reaching the landmark felt incredible to him, as quoted by TottenhamHotspur.com:

“It’s gone quickly! It’s a big thing and I’m pleased about that. It was a nice win for the 200th game as well, it’s incredible and after a few draws and few lost points this feels really good.”
Next up for Tottenham is a home game against Brighton and Hove Albion on Wednesday night, and Erisken will be looking to light up Wembley again, as Spurs look to keep up the pressure on those above them in the table.
