Well, it looks like Arsenal may not have Thomas Partey available to face Liverpool after all.
David Ornstein reported on Thursday that the Arsenal powerhouse was fit for Saturday’s trip to Anfield.
But Gunners boss Mikel Arteta contradicted that, claiming that as of Friday he hadn’t done enough to make the Liverpool clash.
A groin injury kept Partey out of international duty with Ghana over the past couple of weeks.
And although Arteta did not definitevely rule him out, there was certainly pessimism from the Spaniard during his media briefing.
Partey is a huge player for a North Londoners side that haven’t lost in any competition since August.
And Arsenal’s chances of winning at Liverpool go way down without him in the first XI.
Here’s how some fans of the Emirates Stadium outfit reacted to Arteta’s comments on Twitter:

The good news is, Liverpool are missing midfielders, too.
Naby Keita, James Milner, Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones are all absent for Jurgen Klopp tomorrow, while there’s also a question mark over Jordan Henderson, the skipper.
The only fully-fit midfielder who the Reds have available is Fabinho because even Thiago Alcantara can’t possibly be match fit.
Thiago has only played around 50 minutes for Liverpool since September due to injury.
Even if Partey is absent, it would be dangerous for fans of the Anfield side to think that the visitors have no chance.
