Rangers fans want Ibrox duo Alfredo Morelos and Jason Cummings to start together.

Rangers saw off Partick Thistle in a 2-0 victory on Tuesday night, but not everybody is happy with Graeme Murty’s tactical approach right now.

The Gers bounced back from losing to Hibernian by picking up another way win, with Josh Windass and James Tavernier getting themselves on the scoresheet.

The attention will now turn to this weekend’s Scottish Cup game against Ayr, and Murty may be looking to rotate his team and maybe even change his tactics for that encounter.

Jason Cummings poses for photographs after a training session at Orium sporting centre of excellence on November 6, 2017 in Edinburgh, Scotland.

After some success with a diamond, Murty has stuck rigidly to a 4-2-3-1 system in recent weeks, with Windass as a No. 10 and Jamie Murphy and Daniel Candeias either side of him.

That means that there has been just one striking role, and Murty has been interchanging Alfredo Morelos and January signing Jason Cummings in attack, rather than playing them together.

Rangers boss Murty could now be tempted to abandon his system in order to see Morelos and Cummings in action together, just days after Cummings led the line instead of Morelos at Partick.

Now, Rangers fans are taking to Twitter in order to urge Murty to get rid of the 4-2-3-1, and instead play 4-4-2 with Cummings and Morelos up top together.

Fans believe Sunday is the right time to try them together, believing that they can form a dream partnership in attack and give the Gers more potency in the final third – but whether Murty will actually do it remains to be seen.
