Italy fans rave about reported Tottenham Hotspur target Lorenzo Pellegrini

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is said to be keen on Lorenzo Pellegrini and he reportedly wants a move to White Hart Lane.

Reported Tottenham Hotpsur target Lorenzo Pellegrini has earned praise for his display for Italy’s under-21 side at the European Championships last night.

Italy lost 1-0 to Poland, but Tottenham transfer target Pellegrini’s display caught the eye.

The central midfielder hit the post for his country and generally looked like one of their outstanding players in the evening.

Pellegrini’s performance is sure to have excited the watching Tottenham fans, as they are believed to be interested in the Roma star.

Calcio Mercato has suggested that Pellegrini is keen on a move to White Hart Lane, with Spurs now weighing up whether to bid.

And Pellegrini’s showing for Italy last night may well have convinced Tottenham that they would be making a strong signing by bringing in Pellegrini.

Pellegrini is still only 22-years-old, but he played a key role at Roma last term.

The technically adept midfielder contributed with four goals in seven assists in Serie A, which has caught the eye of Spurs’ scouts.

Pellegrini is said to have a £31 million release clause in his contract (Calcio Mercato), which could make him a bargain buy for Tottenham this summer.
