Do Manchester United have fresh hope regarding Arturo Vidal?
Even while over in Indonesia, the Arturo Vidal saga continues.
SkyItalia have sensationally claimed that the Chilean international has told friends he is open to leaving Juventus.
They state: “According to information gathered by Sky Sports, Arturo Vidal would confide in people close to him he would be thinking of leaving Juventus.
“It’s just a clue, a confidence made by the player to some friends, some friends but it does not mean anything (yet), because first he has to get an offer to Juventus, almost certainly with a “5” in front.”
Juventus are holding out for an offer of at least €50 million, one which Manchester United are yet to front up.
Vidal is currently over in Indonesia with the Juventus squad on a pre-season tour, which continues until August 16.
The suggestion, if true, gives United fans hope – and is certainly worthy from a practical perspective. For if the midfielder has told ‘friends’ of his plans, it’s certain he will have made clear his wishes to his agent.
Fernando Felicevich, his agent, will no doubt have passed this onto United, who are said to be deliberating over the deal with regard to Vidal’s fitness.
Coming through Juventus’s friendly matches unscathed may give them further fresh impetus to push a deal through.
