The Tottenham Hotspur ace is still yet to agree terms on a new deal with the club, and Inter Milan are reportedly keeping close tabs on his situation.

The 28-year-old is still under contract with Tottenham until the summer of 2020, and in today’s ludicrously inflated transfer market, the reported fee mentioned seems to be relatively low.

The Belgium international joined Mauricio Pochettino’s side from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2015, for a fee believed to be in the region of £11.5 million, and has since gone on to become one of the best central defenders in world football.
Alderweireld is undoubtedly an integral part of the Argentine’s setup at Spurs, and sanctioning his exit would surely send out a negative message regarding their ambition as a football club.
SportMediaset claim that the 28-year-old leaving north London could be a very real possibility, and suggest that the Nerazzurri could sign him for as little as £31.3 million in the winter transfer window.

Tottenham did bring Davinson Sánchez to the club in the summer, and along with Eric Dier and Jan Vertonghen they do have plenty of cover for the Belgian, should he leave the club, but for such a paltry amount in today’s day and age, Spurs fans would surely be unhappy with losing one of their best players.
