Sampdoria are reportedly resigned to losing Tottenham target Patrik Schick this summer.

According to Italian newspaper Secolo XIX, Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick will leave the club this summer – but the Serie A side hope to take him back on loan.
Schick, 21, was a relative unknown when he joined Sampdoria last summer, as he had played just ten games for Sparta Prague, though he did hit eight goals in 28 games during a loan spell with Bohemians 1905 last season.
However, Schick has taken Italian football by storm this term, scoring 13 goals in 33 appearances, which is made all the more impressive when you factor in that only 13 of those games came as a starter.
Now a Czech Republic international with three caps and one goal to his name, the 6ft 2in striker looks destined for a big future – and ultimately, a future away from Sampdoria.

Italian newspaper Secolo XIX report that Schick’s ‘fate is sealed’ as a club will pay the release clause in his contract, whether it’s Inter Milan, Juventus or even Tottenham Hotspur.
The report notes that Tottenham already have a deal agreed with Schick’s agent, which puts them ahead of Inter and Juve in the race for Schick’s signature – but it may still not be plain sailing for any team wanting to sign the striker.

It’s stated that Sampdoria will request to take Schick back on loan for a year, though with no contractual obligation to do so by paying his release clause, teams should be able to get around that request easily.
With Spurs seeking attacking reinforcements to aid Harry Kane in the final third, Schick could fit the bill – but after only one season of scoring in a major league, some fans may be worried that they are repeating the signing of Vincent Janssen again, after the Dutchman thrived with AZ Alkmaar last season, but has struggled to find the net for Tottenham.
