Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to label one decision as one of the biggest errors of Jurgen Klopp’s reign at Anfield.
What would that decision be?
Well, a selection of Liverpool fans believe Klopp’s decision to play Diogo Jota against FC Midtjylland in December was a complete and utter blunder.
The Reds had already secured their passage into the Round of 16, which pretty much made the clash in Denmark a dead-rubber affair.
However, the former Borussia Dortmund boss still decided to play his in-form Portugal international, before the decision truly backfired.
In Klopp’s defence, he wasn’t to know Jota would get injured.

In our view, the German probably just wanted to play the ex-Wolves man in an attempt to keep his confidence up, perhaps feeling it was likely Jota would net yet another goal.
However, the former Atletico Madrid attacker suffered a serious knee injury, just before Liverpool embarked on a dreadful run of form.
Without Jota, the Reds have gone five Premier League games without a win, and have only scored one goal during that period.

That isn’t to say Liverpool would’ve won all of those games with the £41 million man in their squad.
However, with the form he was in, Klopp surely would’ve liked to have him around.
Let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying…
