Speaking on The View From the Lane Podcast, Athletic journalist Jack Pitt-Brooke has shared what he knows about Dele Alli and potential interest from Everton.
Alli has been struggling for form for a couple of years now at Tottenham, and now that the January transfer window has come around, a move away from north London could be on the cards.
The likes of PSG were linked this time last year, but after a poor 12 months, Alli may now have to settle for a move to a slightly more humble club – and Everton are a potential destination.
Indeed, Pitt-Brooke says that the Toffees could move for Alli towards the end of the month.
What’s been said about Alli?
The journalist says that there’s been no movement for Alli from Everton as of yet, but it has been suggested to him that the Merseyside club could make a late move for the midfielder.
“It was suggested to me that possibly Everton, Everton were kind of considering possibly coming in for Dele Alli towards the end of the month, but as far as I’m aware, there has been no real movement on that front,” Pitt-Brooke said.

Gamble
Signing Alli would be a massive gamble for Everton.
The Toffees have tried time and time again to get the most out of these mercurial talents who are on the decline, but sadly, it very rarely works out for the best.
However, that doesn’t mean that this time will be the same. Alli is only 25, and he’s a two-time PFA Young Player of the Year winner, so the talent is in there somewhere.
It remains to be seen whether or not Alli ends up at Goodison Park, but it looks like this is one to keep an eye on as the window enters its final weeks.
