Jesse Lingard has taken West Ham to another level since he joined the club in January, but it’s not only with the ball that he is getting people talking.

The Manchester United loanee has brought his famous celebrations to West Ham and it has become a topic to discuss with players and fans.

Declan Rice told Football Focus that his drumming, during one of West Ham’s celebrations, was ‘shocking’ after he was jokingly criticised for it by Lingard.

And Rice shared that he and Lingard will ‘pull out something else’ if either duo scores a goal again.

“Yes, my drumming was shocking,” said Rice. “It was shocking. But, yes, he is always trying to plan stuff, so maybe the next celebration, if me or him score, we might pull out something else.”

It just goes to show how far West Ham have come that they can joke about their celebrations and not get annoyed at off-field decisions.

David Moyes has done a pretty incredible job in East London and Lingard is the cherry on the cake that he wanted in January.

Now that Lingard is performing so well, those at the London Stadium will want him to sign on the dotted line in the summer, but a lot of that will depend on what Manchester United will do with their academy product.
