Rhys Williams has told Henrie Kwushue on UMM’s official YouTube channel that it was ‘scary’ coming up against Tottenham duo, Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane.
The Liverpool centre-back was handed his first Premier League start by Jurgen Klopp against Spurs last season.
And it was just a little case of having to deal with two of the most fearsome forwards in the land in Kane and Son.
The Reds came through that game with all three points and this is what Williams had to say about facing the Spurs duo.
“It was scary,” said Williams. “I thought one mistake and they are going to score most likely, unless Ali (Alisson Becker) pulls us out of it.
“But the boss trusts me so I will just have faith in my ability and see what I can do against them.”

Even though Spurs produced an abject campaign overall last term, both Kane and Son broke a Premier League record.
The duo became the deadliest duo in Premier League history by breaking Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton’s 25-year record of combining for the most goals in a single season.
And there’s no stopping them yet because they will be looking to go again ahead of the new campaign, but this time under a new face in the Spurs dugout, Nuno Espirito Santo.
